2014 SOCAN Awards

Hagood Hardy Prize
Lorraine Klaasen was invited to the Red Carpet for the 2014 Montreal SOCAN Awards. She was awarded the Hagood Hardy prize for the winner in the World Music category. Lorraine Klaasen received the Singer-Songwriter of the Year award, given to singer-songwriters having accumulated the most success in radio play.
The 25th Gala took place on Tuesday December 2nd, 2014 starting at 5pm, in the Grand Salon at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 1255 Jeanne-Mance, Montreal.

South African Montreal Queen Lorraine Klaasen and legendary South African Jazz singer Thandie Klaasen celebrated a total of 100 years in the music industry on the 27th of sept 2014 at the DB Clarke Theatre, Concordia University.
The celebration may have been the last chance to witness mother and daughter on stage doing what they do best: MUSIC. This was an open invitation to come and enjoy a two hour session of sophia town jazz and blues and the infectious sounds of Montreal's own South african queen.
